Software Operator for Offshore Vessel (Seattle, Washington)

Job Description

Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
At least 3 years of experience working with software systems in an offshore environment, preferably in cable laying operations
Experience with dynamic positioning systems, cable lay simulation software, and cable tension monitoring software
Familiarity with industry regulations, including SOLAS, IMO, and IACS
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications
Ability to work long hours and travel as required
Certification in Basic Safety Training, STCW-95, and other relevant certifications
