Lead Electrical Engineer

On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for:

Provide technical input and leadership to a range of offshore wind projects around the world
Act as electrical discipline lead on our offshore wind projects, including feasibility studies, concept designs and FEED and detailed designs.
Help develop an offshore wind and grid connection electrical engineering capability in COWI's UK team.
Lead on the development of winning technical and commercial proposals.
Collaborate closely with our international colleagues to deliver international projects and develop COWI's electrical engineering capability.
Develop design methodologies and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Perform high-quality calculations, produce technical reports and approval of drawings
Attend client meetings and build relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Furthermore, you'll have:

M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline and you will have in-depth experience with the topics listed below:
Design of substations in the range up to at least 132 kV
Design and tendering of:
Gas insulated switch gear (GIS)
Air insulated switchgear (AIS)
Power transformers in the range up to 500 MVA
Relay protection systems
Aux. systems
Design in compliance to IEC standards
Earthing, bonding and lightning protection
High voltage cable system
High voltage installations installed in offshore environment is an advantage but not mandatory
Working with the Danish TSO Energinet is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
