Marine Engineer (Ireland)

Job Description

Wood Ireland is looking to recruit a Marine Engineer to work in our Marine Terminals team in our Galway office.

Skills / Qualifications
Understanding of marine and coastal infrastructure design
Understanding of general geotechnical principles
Familiar with relevant designs codes such as - BS6349, EC2, EC3, EC7 etc.
Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel occasionally for short term international assignments
Qualifications / Experience Requirements

Experience in some or all of the following areas:
Primary degree or postgraduate qualification Civil/Structural Engineering or Coastal Engineering
Working toward chartered Engineer status
Experience in design and delivery of coastal and harbour infrastructure (piled jetties/trestles, breasting and mooring dolphins, sheet piles, quay walls etc.)
Experience in detailed design of Reinforced concrete and steel structures
Experience in the use of structural analysis software packages
Experience in geotechnical design
