Bosun for Offshore Drilling Project (US, Louisiana)
Job Description
ASAPQUALIFICATIONS:
Education: The Bosun shall be qualified in accordance with STCW 95 Regulation II/4.
Experience: Minimum 1 years’ experience as AB on a DP operated vessel.
Skills: Able to speak and understand English.
Special Requirements: Additional requirements are contained in the Qualifications & Training Matrix appropriate to each vessel.
Innovation: The Bosun has the authority to stop ANY activity on the grounds of immediate safety, health and environmental hazards.
Decision Making: The Bosun co-ordinates with the Chief Officer, Bridge Watchkeeping Officers, HLO (if not performing said duties), Crane Operators, AB’s or any other personnel necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the deck department.
